Family Event in aid of marathons4muireann.com This family centred event over a flat, rural course is an ideal opportunity for young and not so young to stretch their legs to support the organisers efforts to raise €100k for 3 charities involved in caring for severely disabled children. The event is also perfect for those wishing to run a warm up event for the athlone flatline half marathon which takes place in the same locality a few weeks later. Entry fee only €10. Registration on the morning from 11am in old Drum Hall. Event starts @ 1p.m. and will be followed later in the evening by a family street party opposite Athlone Castle.
