Athenry AC is holding the annual Fields of Athenry 10km race this coming St Stephens day.

This year is the 10th anniversary of the event and could well sell out again. To ensure you won’t be disappointed sign up before November 30th for the discounted fee of €18.Online registration is now open on Runireland.com https://www.runireland.com/events/fields-athenry-10km.

 From December 1st the entry fee will increase to €20.If the race sells out in advance, there will be no entries on the day.

Registration on race day will take place in the Presentation Secondary School behind Athenry Church from 9:30am. And the race itself kicks off at 11am leaving plenty of time to work up an appetite for the Christmas dinner leftovers or for the refreshments that will be on offer in the school after the race.

All those who enter the race will be the proud owners of the now infamous custom made Fields of Athenry 10km woolly hat. Santa himself would be proud of the workmanship!

Voting is currently underway to decide the colour of this years headwear at https://www.athenryac.com/what-colour-hat-fields-athenry-10km-2011 … Red, Green, Bule, Orange, Yellow, Black, Grey, Polka Dot… what will it be? The decision is in your hands.

Whether this is your tenth year to walk/run/jog the 6.2 mile route or your first, dust off the runners and come join us on December 26th around the fields of Athenry.
