0

The Atacama Crossing is a seven-day, six-stage, 250-kilometer / 150 mile self-supported footrace across the Atacama Desert of Chile. It is part of the 4 Deserts series, which is a unique worldwide series of endurance foot races organized by RacingThePlanet. There is no other event series like it in the world.

Each individual must carry his or her own gear, food and clothing for the seven days in a backpack. There are checkpoints approximately every 10 kilometers / 6 miles and plenty of water (at checkpoints and campsites), tents (at the campsites at the end of each stage) and medical assistance are provided – no other outside assistance is allowed.
