Following the success of last years ANNAGASSAN VIKING 10K RUN, we are hoping this year will be bigger and better. This race is run with the help of St Peters running club in Dromiskin and is dedicated to the memory of Noel Carroll one of Irelands finest athletes and one of the founders of the Dublin City Marathon who was a native of Annagassan and a member of St Peters. Once again it will takes place in the beautiful fishing village of Annagassan. The route starts at the edge of the village it will take you along the sea front, then into the rural country side of Salterstown, back along the coast within feet of the waters edge with the stunning backdrop of the Mourne and Cooley Mountains. A long flat straight brings you to the finish line in the centre of Annagassan Village. The race has AAI permit and is CHIPPED and the course has been accuretley measured. The race is run in conjunction with the Annagassan Viking Festival, Runners will have free entry in to the festival on saturday. The race is once again sponsored by FELDA HEALTH FITNESS AND SPA in Dundalk.
