Carrick on Suir AC recently announced the details for their Sixth annual Outfield Sports /Asics 3 Counties Challenge for 2012. The 4 Race series, which features distance’s from 5 Km to 10Km, takes place around Carrick on Suir from June to August, in counties Tipperary ,Kilkenny and Waterford (hence the name!). The series has quickly established itself on the running calander in the South East, thanks in no small part to the friendly atmosphere and good organisation
This year sees the race order change to help new runners to the sport have a structured race programme over the summer months. So we will now begin the series in Ballyneale, Co. Tipperary with a 5 Km run, and then follow up with two 5 Mile races before finishing with the Piltown 10Km in Co. Kilkenny. This increase in race distance over the summer will hopefully be of benefit to new runners, while still providing more experienced runners with a great series of road races.
The club are delighted to again welcome on board Asics as series sponsors, in association with local running specialist store Outfield Sports. RACE 3: Autopower – RATHGORMACK 5 Friday 13th July 2012 @ 7.30p.m.
RACE 4: Morris Oil – PILTOWN 10K Friday 3rd August 2012 @ 7.30p.m
