The African Run Ireland

0

This Spring sign up to take part in the first ever African Run Ireland. Taking place in the beautiful surroundings of St. Anne’s Park. Beginning from the top of the mile the course will follow a 5km track through the wooded grounds of St. Anne’s along the football pitches and through the rose garden.

All proceeds go to VLM Ireland. VLM is a small voluntary organisation that operates out of St. Peter’s Parish Office in Phibsborough, Dublin 7. Since 2002 we have been working with our partners in Ethiopia in the areas of education and professional skills training. In 2015 we branched out and began new partnerships in Burkina Faso and Ghana. We recruit volunteers of all ages for a variety of placements all year round. .

Our flagship project is the Ambo School for the Deaf and hard at hearing, based in central Ethiopia. Other projects include summer schools for the poorest in Ethiopia and skill based training for all partners in Africa. We will soon launch our summer projects in Burkina Faso and Ghana in June 2016.

We are only a small organisation trying to keep Africa smiling. For this we have great volunteers, however, we need your help to make their dreams a reality.

Start your year the right way and run to keep Africa smiling.
