The Course and Weather
The course is largely flat and is a single lap, starting and finishing close to the City Centre. Conditions for marathon running are ideal. The Irish climate is influenced by the prevailing light South Westerly winds of the Gulf Stream. The average temperatures for October are around 12 – 14C. (53 – 57F). Dublin has only about 30 inches of rain annually. Ideal for running.

The International Breakfast Run
Overseas entrants are invited to participate, free of charge, in the Sunday morning Fáilte Ireland International Breakfast Run. There is a limit of 1,500 places. This provides visitors with an opportunity to meet other overseas athletes, exchange T-shirts and enjoy a complementary breakfast to a background of traditional Irish music, and receive a special commemorative T-shirt. It will be held in Westwood beside Fairview Park starting at 9:30am on Sunday 28th October.
