Killarney Reindeer Run 2009

Start times: 5K – 11.30am, Santa Saunter – 11.35am
Enjoy the festive family fun and run in the amazing Killarney National Park. This is a fun run and runners and walkers of all abilities are welcome. Join the stampede and raise funds for the lifeboats, trophies for first male runner 5km and first female runner 5km and best fancy dress adult and best fancy dress child. Each 5km runner will receive a free RNLI kit bag and a warm drink at the finish. Please note the Santa Saunter is not a race. All participants will receive Antlers to wear on the day.
The rugged, mountainous country of Killarney National Park forms a dramatic backdrop for Ireland’s first Reindeer Run. Beautiful lakes nestle between the McGillycuddy’s Reeks – Ireland’s highest mountains. Thankfully, our route takes you past them and not over them!
The park’s distinctive combination of mountains, lakes, woods and waterfalls under ever-changing skies gives the area a special scenic beauty, and should make for a magical run, whatever the weather.
