SIAB KitKat Schools Athletics Ireland have announced their largest ever team of 22 athletes for the World Junior Championships in Bydgoszcz, Poland on 8-13 July. Young track star Ciara Mageean competes over 1500m.

Two relay teams have been announced with the women’s 4×100m relay looking to revise their recently set national junior recor-Hannah Lewis has been named as part of this line up.

A men’s 4×400m relay team is also included based on impressive performances in recent weeks from Curtis Woods, Jason Harvey & Billy Ryan.

Director of Coaching Gary Ryan said “This is fantastic to have so many junior athletes involved at such a high level. We are looking to these athletes establishing good performances on a world stage.”
