The 1st running of the Westport AC Point to Point road race will take place on Sunday 15th of February. The Kids race (800M) will take place at 1.30PM sharp followed by the senior race at 2.00PM The race is an out and back starting at the Point at Westport Quay. The race will proceed along the Quay for the first kilometer before entering the historical and scenic grounds of Westport House. The next 1.5K is through the beautiful grounds of Westport house before returning along the same route to finish at Westport Quay. The route is extremely flat with huge PB potential. Prizes for the First 3 Men and Women Age categories Women 40,50 and Men 40,50 Chip Timing. Plenty of Refreshments. Hot Showers and Changing Facilities. AAI Permit Pending All for only €15. Race Day Itinerary
The kids race is aimed at ages 5-12 years and is 800 meters in distance.
Medals will be awarded to all children in the kids race.
Older children can also enter the 5K race if preferred.
Race sign on is taking place in the Westport Coast Hotel on Sunday morning from:
11 am – 1.00 pm for the kids race
11 am – 1.30 pm for the 5K race
You must sign on to collect your timing chip.
The kids race starts at 1.30 pm starting at the Point (5 min walk from the hotel).
The Point to Point 5K adults race starts at 2.00 pm also starting at the Point (5 min walk from the hotel).
The prize giving will take place in the Westport Coast Hotel at 3.30 pm.
