Trinity Track races

0

from BHAA On Thursday evening, 16 June 2011, we have the Trinity Track races. This is a chance to enjoy track racing in the magnificent environment of Trinity College, right in the centre of Dublin.

There are three race distances:  800 metres, one mile and 3,000 metres.

The first race starts at 7.00pm so you will need to be there well before that to register.  To facilitate the process, it will help if you know your BHAA standard when you arrive.  You can find this on the BHAA website.

The full race schedule is also on the website.

There are team trophies for men and women with a very interesting method of determining the results.  Teams of three (from teams already registered as such) with one person running in each race distance – it is not permissable for the team results for one person to run in two or three of the races.  Teams must be declared at registration.

In these races, everyone starts at the same time – not staggered as may be the case if some of the track races later in the summer.

This is always an enjoyable event so get there if you can.  Parking is not available in the College grounds.  Access to the Moyne Institute for registration is easiest from the Lincoln Place gate.
