It’s round two at Killarney Racecourse as Ireland’s most scenic obstacle course returns following a very successful event on June 28th.
Toughathlon’s next 5km and 10km military-style obstacle course will take bold participants through the world famous Lakes of Killarney whilst rewarding them with spectacular views of the Mc Gillycuddy Reeks. The only thing standing between participants and a total sense of achievement will be the 25 (1 lap) to 50 (2 laps) obstacles they have to overcome.
Toughathlon is not a race – it’s a physical and mental challenge. The obstacle course will allow participants of all fitness levels to test their strength and endurance. The course is particularly beneficial to groups looking to strengthen teamwork as the course is difficult to complete without it. It is a unique and very muddy way to build trust and a sense of kinship.
Toughathlon’s obstacles include 9ft walls, military-style crawls through mud trenches, sandbag carrying and the infamous Devil’s Ladder, a mammoth half pipe, to name but a few. The terrain itself is a challenge, bringing participants through a shallow lake, marsh land and wooded areas with some new obstacles to keep participants on their toes and get the adrenaline pumping.
With a festival atmosphere and delicious food on offer, celebrations will be in full swing at the start and finish lines, making it a great day out for all the family. The event is free for spectators. All are welcome to come and enjoy the excitement.
