Tommy Ryan Memorial Eagle 5 Results

from Eagle AC website Eagle 5 Results are below. I wish to apologise for the delay in the results processing today. This is the first time that we have used our own copy of RaceMaster software and it was a pretty steep learning curve. I also wish to thank sincerely Fiona O’Riordan, Grellan McGrath and Mary Cotter who did trojan work on the entries/results behind the scenes. Approx. 30 Eagle members were involved in the organisation of the event on the day. While I singled out three people above for their special effort, the event could NOT have proceeded without the other 27 or so members.

The organisation of a race takes a lot of time, particularly before the day. Of course the day it self is a bit of a nightmare, and fingers are always crossed in the hope that noting major will go wrong and that we will have no frost/snow/ice/tsunami/rain.

Eagle members were out in Carrigaline before 7am on Sunday and we didn’t leave Carrigaline until 3:30pm, but we enjoyed it. Hopefully you all did too.

John Quigley

Chairman Eagle AC

As this was the 21st running of the event, a special prize, donated by Eagle AC sponsors, Fota Wildlife Park, was given to the 21st man, Kevin Smith (East Cork) and 21st woman Susan Delaney (Cobh). Both received vouchers for Fota Wildlife Park to the value of €150 and €100 respectively.

25% of the entry fees, €534, was donated to Carrigaline Meals on Wheels and Eagle AC rounded this up to €600.
