In honour of the memory of the international runner Tom Walsh "The Barefoot Runner" from Ballyvourneen, Caherline, Co. Limerick, a 10k Run and 5 mile Walk scheduled for the 22nd Jan 2012 at 2pm in Caherconlish, Co. Limerick, starting at Boskill Cross with post race refreshments in the Millennium Centre. Tom Walsh, an Irish International runner won over 200 races in Ireland, England and Scotland during his long racing career. All are welcome to participate in this inaugural race which will prove to be an excellent event with the proceeds going to local charities. Entry fee €12 for 10k and €5 for the 5 mile walk.
