The Kildare Town Sports Partners are delighted this year to present a three race card on Fathers Day. A 5k, 10k & Half marathon will all go to post with the support of Kildare Town Chamber of Commerce. This day at the races is an event not to be missed for both runners and their families. The event now in its second year has established itself as one of the annual highlights of the running calendar.
What better way to start your Fathers Day celebrations than with a Half Marathon, 10k or 5k race and there is no better place to do just that than Kildare Town.
We are privileged as organisers to have been granted permission to run this race through the grounds of The Irish National Stud and you as a participant in this unique event will be equally privileged to have the opportunity to enjoy the Studs stunning splendor as you run through.
The course is particularly flat and could well be established as a PB Course, 1.63k of both the 5k and 10k and half pass through the tranquil and unspoiled grounds of the Stud where you will have the unprecedented opportunity to run on the land where thoroughbreds and world class horses have been bred for decades.
Both Runs will start and finish in Kildare Town where there will be family fun and entertainment provided in The Square before, during and after the event, be assured you will not find a more family friendly event than this one on Fathers Day.
The event is AAI licensed, measured & certified and of course it will be chip timed. The 5k event is also open to walkers so join the fun and register today.
