
Runners, joggers and walkers are now invited to take part in the second annual St. James’s Hospital Liberties Fun Run. The 2010 race [6.5 K] will start at 7.45 pm on July 22nd in the IMMA/RHK in Dublin 8. The good times will start at 6.30 pm with music and fun with Fossett’s Circus and FM104 and a full warm-up conducted by the hospital’s chartered physiotherapists.
This Fun Run offers athletes of all levels an interesting route around the historic Liberties area of Dublin, and provides an opportunity for supporters of St. James’s to raise much-needed funds for the hospital. All participants this year will be able to enter on-line and all participants will be provided with a timing chip. Cash prizes will be awarded to the first, second and third placed men and women.

Stroke 2010 is the hospital’s current fundraising campaign for the hospital’s stroke service. The net entry fees (a processing fee of €1.74 will be deducted for each on-line entry) and all sponsorship raised by the Fun Run will support much-needed advancement to the service for stroke patients at St. James’s Hospital.
