At 5 miles, the race is a good challenge for runners and walkers alike and represents the 5th leg of the Mayo A.C. open road race.
The event is also a firm family favourite with a Live DJ, great giveaways, face painting and even guest appearances from the Tooth Fairy rumoured to be on the cards this year.

“We’re now in our 11th year of the DeCare Dental Sport a Smile run/walk and have raised over €115,000 for charity, thanks to the support of race participants, local businesses and supporters. Even the rain doesn’t seem to dampen the spirits of our racegoers and supporters so we hope that this year is no exception. And who knows, maybe the sun will even shine.”
For those who wish to enter the Sport a Smile run/walk, registration is available in advance through www.runirealand.com or on race day at Maxwell’s, Market Square, Claremorris from 4 to 6 pm. The race starts at 6 pm from the square in Claremorris with refreshments afterwards for all participants and prizes for key race categories.
