Taking place on July 2nd 2016 and with places strictly limited to 50, The Sligo Way Ultra is the first self-supported ultra-run along The Sligo Way in Sligo, Ireland.
Places are strictly limited to 50 runners and we are welcoming solo runners and paired teams.
The Sligo Way is a waymarked long distance walking route which starts at Lough Talt on the Sligo/Mayo border and continues eastwards for approximately 80km/50 miles along the Ox Mountains, ending at Dromahair, Co Leitrim. The route is signposted using a combination of wooden marker posts and metal finger posts and covers a range of terrain, including quiet country roads, lane ways and forest tracks.
The event is not-for-profit basis and any surplus funds after all costs have been met will be donated to the Dromahair Arts & Recreation Centre (DARC) to support local development initiatives.
