Skerries which was the venue for the Irish Sprint Distance Triathlon Championships in 2003, is set to host the final leg of the Dublin Tri Series on Sunday the 21st of June.
The Skerries Triathlon will be a full Sprint distance with a 750m swim, 20km cycle and 5km run. The cycle route will take in the Black Hills.
As well as the main triathlon, there will be an draft legal event operating under international drafting rules. This non-drafting event will be for competitors looking for a stepping stone between domestic and elite ITU triathlon racing.
Details are currently being finalized and we expect to open entries in February.

The 20km Cycle
The cycle will be on a single 20km loop. Within 1km you will hit the BLACK HILLS which have been the highlight of the RAS’s final stage for the last three years. This course has always always been won and lost on the bike, Long may this tradition continue. (Map attached at the bottom)
The 5km Run
The run will be on a single loop out and back along the Skerries seafront and around the peninsula. The surface will be a mixture of footpath and grass, but will avoid the sandy beach.
