The Insurance Institute of Sligo coming on board as
major sponsor. Over 200 runners are expected to turn out on 25 June, starting and finishing at
Ransboro National School.
Traditionally a 10km race, this year there will also be a 5km alternative to cater for the large
number of new runners taking part.
President of The Insurance Institute of Sligo Brendan Boyle stated: “We’re delighted to sponsor
this fantastic event, which has been hugely successful over the last number of years. The Sligo,
Leitrim and West Cavan branch of Down Syndrome Ireland is our institute’s chosen charity for
2016/17 and the Ransboro Race will provide much needed funds for this worthy cause.”
The Annual Road Race which takes place the last Saturday of June this year it falls on 25th June 2016 @5.30pm .
Starting and finishing at Ransboro Church its route takes in the beautiful views of Knocknarea and Ballisadare Bay.Nestled under the southern flank of Knocknarae , the picturesque course winds its way through quiet country backroads. The undulating course is ideal preparation for the Warriors Run in August.
