from Galway City Harriers You may be interested to know that there are currently moves afoot within our club to assemble a definitive web-based photographic archive charting at least some of the distinguished history of GCH and many of the athletes that have gone before us, since the club’s foundation over 110 years ago.
It’s probably never too early to begin the arduous process of converting any physical artifacts (mainly photographs, but also newspaper/magazine articles, brochures, souvenir race posters, flyers, t-shirts, etc. relating to our senior/junior runners competing at local/national/international events or just simply out on training runs) into a more permanent electronic format.
With this in mind, if you are in a position to supply any interesting GCH-related material (on a temporary loan basis of course) or would like to help out in any way with this project, please feel free to contact the following e-mail address: seamuspcoyne@gmail.com
We’re only going to be taking baby steps initially as this promises to be one long-running race!
PS – We will be retaining legal counsel to adjudicate on any copyright infringement issues 🙂
