Come take part in a marathon with a difference.
On 24th August 2014 the final of four provincial marathons will take place in Midleton town, Co. Cork at 9am. This run will also be open to shorter distances of half marathon, 10km and 5km and will make up the final event of Endurance Challenge 2068km in the home town of the two people who are devised it.

Endurance Challenge 2068km is an All-Ireland series of events that will see two supporters of Breakthrough Cancer Research, Sean Buckley and James Colbert, take on the biggest Triathlon challenge ever attempted in Ireland.
Over 22 days they will complete a 2,068km journey by swimming 120km of the River Shannon, cycling 4 provincial cycling tours through every county in Ireland and 4 marathons in the 4 provinces.
While they will take this challenge throughout the entire island of Ireland to raise an incredible target of €500,000 they are hoping to have thousands of others join them at each stage to join together in the fight against cancer, get active, increase awareness and raise much needed funds for new treatments.
