from Eoghan Furey Emmett McGinty was a comfortable winner of tonights Carndonagh 5k, which was also round 5 of the 2009 Furey Insurances 5K Series. Theresa Doherty of InisEoghain AC had her first win in the series when she won the womens race. This race was kindly sponsored by local firm Athlanfish(Declan McCarthy). 87 people finished the race. Full results attached. This race is reportedly the first in Carn in almost 20 years.
