The annual Maree Duathlon takes place in the scenic surrounds of Maree, Oranmore, Co. Galway on August 30th 2015 at 2pm. This picturesque circuit will be hand timed, see our photo gallery for the running and cycling routes.
This event will raise funds to develop local sporting facilities in Maree, and is organised by the Maree Community Development Association.
The event is comprised of a 4.3KM run, followed by a 15KM cycle, and finished with a final 4.3KM run. Entry is €20 for individual applicants and €30 for teams of 2-3 individuals and is open to athletes aged 16 years and older. Fantastic prizes for first man, first woman, and first team to complete all 3 stages of the event.
Post race refreshments will be available in community centre – so make sure to stick around!
