SWIM COURSE – RACE START
The swim will be a MASS START from within the harbour. See the diagram of the transistion area above for the route of the swim. There will be a safety boat and canoeists. Every effort is being made to use GPS technology to accurately measure the course distance.
CYCLE COURSE
The cycle will consist of 4 laps of a 6.25 mile course. The route is fast but undulating. Each of the 4 laps will bring the athletes through the village of Ballyronan, thus allowing spectator participation. Cycle out the Ballynagarve Road towards Magherafelt, turn left onto the Orr Road and left again onto the Caraloon Road.
Turn right onto the Magherafelt Road until a dead turn.
You then cycle back along the Magherafelt Road into Ballyronan.
RUN COURSE
The run will consist of 4 laps of an out and back course from the marina along the Shore Road on a spectator friendly course. The race finish will be in Ballyronan Marina.
