8mile Run/Walk
Assembling in Ballinafad village, entrants can run or walk a varied 8mile route along a picturesque hillside laneway combining short steep hills with long level stretches on smooth roads, ideal for those wishing to incorporate a little hill training into their run. Walkers start at 4.00pm, runners at 5.00pm.
Parking/ Toilets/Refreshments
Parking will be in the Field Study Centre car park, Ballinafad, and overflow parking at Ballinafad Church. Toilets will be available, and refreshments provided, in the Field Study Centre.
Cost and Registration
Cost of entry is €15 on the day. CHIP-TIMING FOR ALL RUNNERS, as well as prizes for first three males and females and first three male and female veterans. Registration from 3pm on the day in the Field Study Centre, Ballinafad (behind Community Centre).
Proceeds
Proceeds from the race will be donated to both AWARE ("Depression Support, Information, Education") and Aughanagh Parish Council Development Fund.
