The race starts from St Hugh’s Park, Ballinaglera, Co Leitrim and follows the Drumshanbo Road along the shores of Lough Allen to Cleighran More Jetty before returning back to the GAA Park. Participants and spectators will have spectacular views of Lough Allen and the surrounding countryside along the way.
The route is relatively flat as can be seen from the attachment. The event is not officially timed. Prizes for First Male, First Female, First U-18 Male and First U-18 Female.
For families and individuals looking for something more leisurely there will also be a 5K County Ramble.
This will be the opening event to the Ballinaglera GAA Sports Day with a host of activities for all the family throughout the afternoon and admission being included for all walkers and runners. Refreshments will be provided for all participants.
Entry is €10 per adult for the run and the walk is €10 per family.
