International Racewalker Laura Reynolds of Mohill A C won the Leitrim Sportsperson of the Year Award at the Second Leitrim Local Sports Partnership Awards Function in the Lough Rynn Castle Hotel on Saturday night last. In addition, Carrick on Shannon athlete Daire Farrell who represented Irish Schools last summer, won the Junior Sportsperson Award and Michael Kenny, Chairman of Ballinamore A C, was awarded the Volunteer of the Year honour.
