5MILE ROAD RACE kilconerion race sunday 27th of feburary 12pm start .
This is the 3rd running of this event which has become a beautiful , challenging race , and also grown in popularity from the first year it attracted 120 and last year 160 crossed the finish line . I will not be surprised if it fills up this year as it will take you through a very scenic route with partily closed roads . This course is filled with history as you will pass once the 2nd biggest house in ireland (powerscourt biggest ) and a medi-evil castle . After the race there is tea and plenty of food in the neer by pub as its a great to chat to the other runners that ran . Word is about that just in 2 years the comittee spear headed by niall callanan has raised 7500 euro to date , this money went to bothar , alan kerins charity and IHCPT in which we sponsered 2 people to cycle to lourdes last year .
