None On Sunday September 13th 2009, in conjunction with Mullingar Harriers Athletic Club, International Service Ireland (ISI) will be hosting our very first Ability 10k Fun Run. Starting from St. Loman’s Clubhouse in Mullingar at 11am and ending in the beautiful surroundings of the Belvedere House and Gardens, it promises to be a great day out. Everyone is welcome to take part in this day of fun. Whether you are on your own, with friends of your family, join us and make a difference!
We are organising this event to support a number people with disabilities that we work closely with in West Africa and South America. The projects we support them with range from vocational and management training to improving access to education with disabled children and providing small business start-up grants so that people can generate vital income for their families.
We will have everything set up on the day for your convenience and plenty of facilities (from parking to changing rooms) to ensure that you have an enjoyable time. Running is not even mandatory! You are welcome to race as well as walk, hop, skip or even jump!
The cost for an individual entry is €20 for adults and €10 for juniors (under 16 years of age). Sponsorship cards are also available. It is not necessary for you to pre-register but if you would like to, email us at abilityfunrun@is-ireland.ie or call 086-1577634.
