John Davis 5km Run – Malahide Castle – 19th May 2012

The John Davis annual 5km Run will raise vital funds for The Children’s Medical & Research Foundation The Children’s Medical & Research Foundation, www.cmrf.org is the fundraising arm of Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital Crumlin and the Children’s Research Centre and is dedicated to working to improve the quality of life of sick children in Ireland. The John Davis annual 5km Run, now in its fifth year will raise vital funds for The Children’s Medical & Research Foundation – Kilometres for Kids.

 The run is open to all ages and abilities and you can walk, jog, hobble or run. The race will commence in front of Malahide Castle at 11.30am sharp with the route taking competitors around the Castle grounds on tree lined trails and paths providing beautiful scenic views.
John Wallnutt, Race Director, commented “It’s a great opportunity to get some exercise and help raise much needed funds for the Childrens Medical & Research Foundation. Last year’s event was a huge success and we are on track again this year for a big turnout. It is geared toward everybody, young and old and is a great day out and also a good pre mini-marathon run. We are also hoping to announce some surprise ‘guest’ runners in the coming weeks”.

Along with prizes for the winners (1st, 2nd 3rd, Male / Female), participants can also choose to fundraise for the event by emailing johndavis5km@gmail.com and requesting an official sponsorship card.
