The annual JJ Reddy Danesfort 10K Road Race (and 5k Fun Run) will take place on Sunday 7th October 2012 at 12 Noon. This year there will be chip timing. Entry is also available on the day from 10.30 – 11.30 am sharp. A 5K fun run will also take place.
The run starts near the Danesfort GAA Club Grounds at 12 O’clock and takes in the lovely countryside around Danesfort and Burnchurch. Danesfort GAA, is approximately 8km south of Kilkenny on the N10 Waterford Road with excellent access from the M9 motorway (junction 9 – only 500m from start). There is plenty of free parking on site.
Registration is now online: 10k €15 per runner with chip timing. 5k Fun Run €10.
There is a Family entry fee for the 10k of 25 and entry is available on the day from 10.30am – 11.30am.
10k runners will be chipped/tagged to ensure accurate timing.
There will be 3 pacers – 45 minutes (Val), 50 minutes (Billy) & 55 minutes (Irene)
Prizes for Men and Women 1st €125, 2nd €75, 3rd €25.
Water provided en route and refreshments etc. will be served after the run.
