Galway Simon 10 Mile or 10 Kilometres The Galway Simon Kick Assphalt 10K/10Mile run is drawing lots of attention from runners. Not only are men and women from all over Ireland registering, but the charity has also noted that they are seeing runners coming from France, Germany, America, Canada and Libya.

With the weather looking to hold for the day, it is promising to be a great day for both runners and spectators. The route is extremely spectator friendly with the start/finish line being passed several times by the body of runners. The charity is also asking all spectators to wear yellow to show their support for men and women in the West of Ireland who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. They are even giving a special prize to the person with the most imaginative use of yellow in their dress on the day! The army band will also be on hand to entertain everyone watching the action.
Registration closes at midnight on Thursday 19th of June. With places now very limited, runners or walkers are being encouraged to register at www.galwaysimon.ie or www.runireland .com straight away. All proceeds from the registration money goes directly towards helping men and women in the West of Ireland who are homeless.
