Hell Mountain Challenge

0

Hell Mountain is an adventure run unlike any other. A true test of endurance – the run takes you to the summit of a mountain with some of the most spectacular views on the Kerry coast. But all is not as it seems – the track is littered with surprise obstacles and challenges, sure to get your heart beating and adrenaline pumping. Known to locals as Coomaneaspaig, Hell Mountain looms ominously over the village of Portmagee, Co. Kerry and this year, brave and fearsome athletes will attempt to take on the challenge the mountain sets before them. Participants will go through a gruelling, uphill course and on reaching the summit will catch a glimpse of heaven as they survey glorious views stretching from Dingle to Beara. This taste of heaven will be short-lived, however, as they face their descent into mountainous terrain, in bid to reach the finishing line. Hell Mountain takes place on Bank Holiday Saturday, 25th October 2014 in Portmagee village on the South Kerry coast. Where the Ring of Kerry meets the Atlantic Ocean and having recently been awarded the title Tourism Town Of Ireland – this location is the perfect place to make your October Bank Holiday Weekend a memorable one.
