The years event wil be held in Kilmaley about 5 miles outside Ennis in Co.Clare. The event starts at 12.00 noon from Kilmaley school and offers a 10k course for both runners and walkers with an optional 3.5k walk. Entry fee on the day is €15 for adults and €5 for children. All proceeds raised go to this years 2 nominated charities.
The Rays of Hope Hospice, Jinga, Uganda brings modern accepted methods of pain and sympton control, councelling, psychosocial and spiritual support to patients and families suffering from illnesses such as Cancer and HIV/AIDS.
The Kilmaley Voluntary Housing Association provides wheel chair accessible accomodation for the elderly who are in poor housing conditions, ill health and living in isolation in Kilmaley and its hinterland. It also caters for its returning immigrants and a vibrant day care/health centre operates in the locality.
