From Eoin Ryan Wicklow Gaol (Jail) break Half Marathon and 10km sees the return of the Half Marathon in 2012. The unique setting starting and finishing in the Jail courtyard of Wicklow Town gives the event its name and character. Runners are called convicts and everyone receives a release Certificate from Jail as a quirky souvenir upon completion.
This is the 3rd year of the popular event and the reintroduction of the Half Marathon will be good news to all the Jail-birds. The date is the 25th of March making one of the first Half Marathons in 2012.
