The Great Western Greenway 10k is a trail walk/run on the award winning Great Western Greenway. This event is held on the Greenway in incredible surroundings which are beautiful, tranquil and Scenic! Join up to be part of this amazing event in the beautiful town of Westport on Saturday May 26th starting at 2pm. All participants will be bused to the start of the event. Entrants must collect their numbers etc at the Westport Leisure centre from 11.30 -1pm.
Over 300 have already entered to be part of what promises to be a very different and interesting run. The Greenway is just over 42k in total and stretches from Achill to Westport. This event gives entrants an opportunity to savour a little of what the Greenway is like. This event is not without its obstacles, it is not a road race, more a trail run therefore there are gateways and other throughways to take on as you go. This event is not without little challenges which we think you will enjoy.
The event finishes through the beautiful grounds of Westport House and onto St Marys Crescent.
Definitly one not to be missed!!!! With over €2000 prizemoney this event is attracting some top athletes, runners as well as hundreds of recreational joggers and walkers.
