
What? A 4km/8km charity fun run open to runners, joggers and walkers in aid of Duchenne Ireland.

ALL proceeds going to Duchenne Ireland.Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) is a severe recessive x-linked form of muscular dystrophy that is characterized by rapid progession of muscle degeneration, eventually leading to loss in ambulation, paralysis, and death. This affliction affects one in 3500 males, making it the most prevalent of muscular dystrophies. Duchenne Ireland is striving to improve the treatment, quality of life, and long-term outlook for all individuals affected by Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy through direct translational research funding. for more info see https://duchenne.ie/
Why?This event has been inspired by a Celbridge family. Both sons (aged 7 and 9) are living with DMD. This event has been organised as a show of support to them and their chosen charity from the local community.
How? To participate, enter online with runireland.com for €10, or registration on the day opens at 6pm. Meet at Castletown house, bring a friend and have fun!
