The Fox Trot is a fun 5k road event for everyone from the elite runner to jogger and walker.Its being organised by the Meath Hunt members many who are themselves keen athletes ,the fox trot is fully insured.It starts at 7pm sharp .We have a main road start,and the first 1.4k is on the main road between Navan and Kells.We are having the event at the landmark bar and restaurant "The Silver Tankard" so its easy for everyone to find .The Silver Tankard are putting up finger food for all after the race and if the weather is kind they are putting up a bbq .the event is chip timed and the track is wide and straight forward.We have a fox trot cotton tshirt for the first 400 entrants.
There will be an intresting junior section in this 5k with national cross country medal winners such as Irish junior schools runner Jack O Leary,Irish minor schools champion Siofra O Flaherty intending to run
Our sponsors have allowed us to be kind with the prizes and because its a fun event we will be giving away many random prizes to participants at the presentations post race party.But for the serious elite runners we have a first runner home prize of dinner for two at the Brabazon restaurant and over night stay at the prestegious Tankardstown House in Slane,First lady home will win spa treatment,dinner and overnight at the luxury Dunboyne Castle Hotel and Spa for two people.We are on face book and you can check out the fab prizes such as dinner for two at the snail box,china garden and many more including a party for twenty people in the keltic bar kells with dj ,food and free bubbly,hampers,gum shield fit out for two families ,ryans farm butchers voucher,ebony rose voucher,navan travel voucher and loads more
