Historic Ferns in County Wexford will host a four-mile road race/fun run/walk on Sunday 12 August. The event will serve as a fundraiser for both the local Ferns St Aidans GAA club and their chosen charity, the Alzheimer Society of Ireland. The route is broadly similar to that used for the already well-established annual Mick Murphy Memorial Run in the town, which will be familiar to many athletes in County Wexford and beyond. There will be souvenir medals and certificates for all participants, and refresments served afterwards. Chip timing will be provided for all runners.
