The FAT TURKEY RUN is a 7 mile run starting from Suttonians Rugby Football Club on station road beside Sutton Dart Station. The route will be from Suttonians RFC taking a left at sutton cross towards howth village, up through the village to the summit and down the main road back to sutton cross with the race finishing at Suttonians RFC. We will have rolling road closures and a garda escort. The race will start at 11.30 and is part of a bigger event THE FAT TURKEY WALK which is in its second year. Last year we had over 500 walkers taking part so if you are not interested in running you can instead do the walk. The walkers will take the opposite route going up the hill via the graveyard side to the summit ( where hot drinks will be available) and down via the village.
Registration will be in Suttonians RFC where there will also be changing rooms and showers. This is as much a family day and there will be bouncy castle among other things at Suttonians. After the walk / Run there will be tea / coffee and refreshments as well as a full bar and live entertainment later in the day.
Why not join us by arriving by DART, work of the christmas Turkey and then afterwards settle down to a few social Christmas drinks.
