This is the 3rd annual race which was set up in remembrance of a runner who spent many years helping and coaching young athletes. In his time as a runner he ran numerous marathons in aid of cancer research. Unfortunately Eamon passed away in May 2012 and we feel this is the ideal event to remember him by whilst also raising funds for a cause that was extremely close to Eamon’s heart. All proceeds from this event will go to Cahercalla Community Hospice and the Christian Brothers School, both in Ennis.
This race is becoming bigger and better each year, past entrants have claimed it to be ideal to achieve a PB on!
The race will take place on Saturday 28th March 2015 at 11am from Christian Brothers School, Ennis.
The course has been accurately measured and an AAI permit is approved.
This year will also have a 5k walk and both events are open to families
All athletes, runners, joggers and walkers are invited to attend this memorial event.
Prizes will be offered for the first 3 men and 3 ladies across the line as well as a perpetual shield for the winning men’s and ladies teams.
There will be technical t-shirts to the first 300 entries and a bespoke commerative medal to all finishers in the 10k!
Entry fee is €20 for the 10k (this price will increase on January 6th 2015 to €25) and €10 for the 5k…unbelievable value!
