The irishrail.ie Dunboyne 4 Mile Road Race & Fun Run is a short race with a big reputation and a landmark event on the Irish road racing calendar. This year’s race is the 42nd running of the event and sees irishrail.ie come on board as title sponsor.
Open to walkers, joggers and runners all of ages and standards, the flat and fast course – beginning and ending in Dunboyne town centre – offers all participants an excellent chance of achieving personal bests.
At four miles, this is also an ideal event for anyone new to fitness walking or running as the emphasis is on mass participation and a fun day out in a friendly and safe environment.
The day’s programme includes boys and girls’ races in the under-12 and under-15 categories. Entry for these events is just €2 and every finisher will receive a souvenir medal.
