With the bye election in full swing its inevitable that leading politicians from all the interested parties will call so it was indeed an honour to host the Taoiseach Brian Cowan friday night .
Upcoming events are the national inter counties and even age nationals in Derry Sunday week the 28th with the underage annual presentation night on later that evening at 7-30 in the Main Hall . All children and their parents are invited to this indeed some 300 /400 turned out last year for what was a really pleasant evening in August having won the national title
Congrats to Tori Pena from the club who was nominated for field athlete of the year at the annual Athletics Ireland awards last Sat night . Tori of course represented Ireland in the European champs having earlier in the season won the national in a new record 4-15m . She is now back training with a view to making the European indoors in Paris in March
