It was a great evening of competition with a large turnout of 120 athletes across the four age groups. With five ‘field’ events and two track races, every athlete had the opportunity to take part. In terms of competition, yet again, there were some outstanding individual performances with several names cropping up in the medals across a number of events.
Thanks to the clubs, athletes and parents that supported the event. Thanks also to the Lifford club and to Deele College in Raphoe for hosting the event. A big thank you to the various club officials and parents who all presented themselves to organise and officiate which ensured the timely running of the event within three hours.
The County Teams will be selected by this weekend for the Ulster Finals in Magherafelt on March 14th.
Given that there was no trial for the U13 High Jump, clubs are invited to nominate their best High Jumper – name, personal best, and what competition the pb was achieved. The Under 13 girls and boys are those athletes Under 13 on the 1st September 2012. Please notify me of your nomination(s) by tonight if possible.
