Thanks to the 122 participants who ran Coole Runnings 5k Trail run on Saturday 18th September. Martin Walsh finished first in a time of 19:56 followed by local Gort man Liam Nolan with a time of 20:06. The third finisher of the overall men’s category, Mark Dinkin of Tuam AC, finished close behind in 20:07.
The top three finishers in the senior women’s category were Susan Griffin (22:49), Janet Clancy (22:59), and Joanne Dolan of Loughrea AC (23:41).
Well done to all and thanks to all the local Gort businesses who sponsored the event. We hope to make this an annual event and encourage you to come back and enjoy Coole Park again!
