Bus departs Maam Cross at 9:00am
Because of a wide variety of finish times expected we have decided it would be better where possible that you drive yourself to Maam Cross and get the bus to the course from there. That way there will be no waiting around at the finish. You can make your way back to Oughterard for lunch whenever you please.
Anyone who cannot drive to Maam Cross should email asap at ray@proactive.ie and we will arrange pickup time and location individually. (Please confirm, even if you have been already been in touch about this).
The Bus will depart Maam Cross at 9:00am. Please get there by 8:30. The exact meeting point is at the back of Peacockes Hotel. The bus will drive the entire ultra, full and half marathon route and you can choose where you wish to start from. We will co-ordinate this before departure.

Maam Cross is the area marked as "Finish"
As you will see from the link, the route is very easy to navigate with just three right turns… One just after mile 6 at a T junction, the second in the village of Leenane and the last turn is just before mile 22 at Keane’s Pub. We will have a presence at each junction so you will not go wrong.
There will be a number of water stops along the way, specifically at mile 6, 13 and 22 of the marathon course and rolling support along the route too. If you have any special drinks etc that you want made available these can be handed in prior to bus departure.
The finish will be at Maam Cross.
Lunch will be available in "The Boat Inn", Oughterard throughout the afternoon so there is no rush to finish.
