
The annual Clifden Lifeboat 10k run, which was originaly held in September every year, has now moved to a new month! Held in memory of 18yr old Mickey Mullen who died in 2004 when the MVF St Oliver sank in bad weather, it has become popular with both serious and leisure runners. The race starts and finishes in Clifden, Co Galway and will bring you up the Sky Road which is one of the most scenic areas in Connemara.
The course is officially measured and as in previous years AAI approval will be applied for. Individuals and teams of runners, walkers, joggers and stargglers of all abilities are welcome, and there are prize categories to suit everyone.
All funds raised go to the Clifden RNLI.
Medals will be given to all finishers. Individuals or teams of 3 people are welcome. Trophies for: First, second and third male/female, 1st male/female Senior, under 50, under 60 and over 60.
