
The 2nd Clarinbridge Oyster Marathon takes place on the 9th of September 2017. Clarinbridge is a small picturesque village, approximately 15 minutes’ drive south of Galway, situated on the mouth of the Clarin River at the end of Dunbulcaun Bay, the easternmost part of Galway Bay.
The Clarinbridge Oyster Marathon, half marathon and 10 km will take place on the Kilcornan Estate in the heart of the village.
With 3 distances and a course consisting of 5km loops, on a mixture of a beautiful newly surfaced forest trail and the estate avenue which is tarred throughout. The course has something to appeal to all participants from the seasoned runner to those taking their first dip into the marathon distance.
The event takes place the same weekend as one of Ireland’s longest running festivals, the Clarinbridge Oyster Festival which celebrates the heritage of Clarinbridge and its famous oyster industry www.clarenbridge.com … So bring your running and dancing shoes!!
