NEW DOG AND OWNER SECTION added for 2012.
After the success of last year’s fundraiser, raising over €2,300 for our chosen charity TEAM HOPE in BURUNDI we have decided to make it bigger and better this year by adding a new untried DOG AND OWNER section.
This 5km race will begin same as last year starting from the rustic BLUE LIGHT PUB in the Dublin Mountains. Ascending up forest trails to the summit of the Tree Rock and back to the humble beginnings from another direction via more forest trails, rivers, trail roads and other surprises in store (one loop track).
RACE BRIEFING will commence at 11.00 am with a short talk from Team Hope on why you’re running!
RUNNERS AND WALKERS START: 11.30 am
DOGS AND OWNERS at 11.45 am (with their poop bags)
This will be a brilliant day out and all are welcome no matter what fitness level or size of dog as long as dog can be controlled to some degree.
We have some excellent spot prizes… 1st 2nd 3rd male & female and equally as important 1st 2nd 3rd for dog & owners.
ALL MONEY DONATED TO TEAM HOPE and their struggle to help the less fortunate in BURUNDI.
